Work from the chat
The second way to work: tell the Agent what you need at chat.salexhub.com. How it differs from the app, what stays in the app, and what a visitor gets.
On this page
An organization has two ways in. In the app you work on screen yourself, and the Agent helps from a side panel on every page. In the chat, at chat.salexhub.com, the conversation is the screen: you say what you need, the Agent does the work, and you decide what it may change. Both are the same organization, with the same records, the same permissions and the same approval rules.
Sign in to the chat#
Open chat.salexhub.com and choose Log in. Your account is the one you use in the app, but each address keeps its own sign-in, so you sign in once on each. Choosing Sign up there creates your account and organization with the same steps as the app, and ends back in the chat.
The Agent runs on AI credits your organization paid for, or on its own AI provider key, in the chat as in the app. Until it has one or the other it answers nothing: see Connect an AI provider.
What the Agent does in the chat#
Ask in your own words: find, draft, update, build. The Agent works as it does in the app:
- It sees and changes only what your role allows.
- The autonomy mode applies: by default every change and every send waits for you on a card, with Approve and Decline, and Approve all when there are several. Autonomy and approvals explains the modes.
- A record the Agent names opens in a panel beside the conversation. Its full page, like any other page a link in the chat leads to, opens in the app in a new tab, so the conversation stays open.
- Your conversations stay in a list beside the chat. You can pin and rename them, regenerate the last answer, or edit your last question and send it again.
- Above the conversations, the list shows your Minis, small agents that each do one job for you on a schedule or when something changes; one opens in the panel beside the conversation. At its foot are Tasks and, under Settings, Agent and AI Gateway, as far as your role opens them. These open in the app too.
- The account menu has Open the app, Appearance and Sign out.
What stays in the app#
Some acts are never the Agent's, in any mode: among them changing someone's role, erasing a person's data, deciding an approval and creating API keys. People do those in the app, where settings and record pages also live. Autonomy and approvals lists them.
Before you have an account#
Anyone can try the chat without signing up: five messages. Without an account the Agent has no tools and no access to anyone's data. It answers from what it knows about SalexHub, in your language, and when you ask for real work it says exactly what it would set up and that signing up lets it do the work. It does not act, so nothing is done or saved in the meantime.
After the fifth message the composer gives way to Sign up and Log in, with the conversation still on screen. It is kept only in that browser tab, and goes when you close the tab, sign up or log in. It does not move into the organization you create.
If many people are writing at once, the chat may say the Agent is busy and ask you to try again in a minute.
