# Projects & tasks: Your team's work, beside the customer's records.

Projects with stages, health and budgets. Tasks attached to any contact, company or deal. Whiteboards where a card is the live record, not a copy of it.

Tasks sit in an agenda by due date. The final contract is signed, the deal is closed as Won, and its card on the whiteboard changes with it, because the card is the record itself.

## What you do with it

**Plan it, assign it, draw it.**

- **Projects**: A board by stage from Planning to Done, with health, a budget in its currency, start and target dates, and a parent project.
- **Tasks**: An agenda by due date: overdue, today, tomorrow, this week, later. Attach a task to any contact, company or deal.
- **Whiteboards**: Sticky notes, shapes, frames and connectors, with cards that show your records as they are now.
- **Boards from a template**: Start from the org chart of a customer's company or the account map of a deal, laid out from its contacts.
- **Overview starts with your work**: Each person's Overview opens on their own tasks, then on what is addressed to them.
- **Status, priority, milestones**: Each task has a status from To do to Done, a priority and an assignee, and can be marked as a milestone.

## The Agent here

**Describe it, and the board changes.** The Agent creates tasks and projects on the records they belong to and draws on whiteboards. Deleting a board waits for your approval unless the mode is Full autonomy.

- `whiteboard.generate`: Draws a board from a description. Asks in the default mode, Ask every time; runs from Auto inside the organization.
- `whiteboard.update`: Changes a board as described. Asks in the default mode, Ask every time; runs from Auto inside the organization.
- `whiteboard.restoreRevision`: Brings back an earlier version of a board. Asks in the default mode, Ask every time; runs from Auto inside the organization.
- `record.create`: Creates a task or a project, as a card you approve. Asks in every mode.
- `whiteboard.delete`: Deletes a board. Asks unless the mode is Full autonomy.

## Control

**The same rules as every record.**

- Tasks and projects follow the roles and sharing of the organization.
- A whiteboard keeps every version, and any of them can be restored.
- A record card shows what the viewer may read of that record, and a record they may not see is not on their board at all.
- A deleted record leaves a marked card on the board, never a stale name.

## Recent changes

- 2026-08-29 (Projects & tasks): **Live record cards and Agent drawing on whiteboards.** A card can be a live record that follows renames and stays hidden from people who cannot see it, and the Agent can draw an org chart or an account map from your CRM data.
- 2026-08-23 (Projects & tasks): **Whiteboards for diagrams and planning.** The Whiteboards page is a canvas for shapes, sticky notes, text, frames and connectors, with snapping, multi-select and undo.
