# Cookie Policy

Every cookie we set, the two measurements we take without one, and why the analytics we provide to customers stores nothing on a visitor's device.

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels, device fingerprints) do comparable things. This policy covers all of them.

**We set no advertising cookies, load no third-party trackers, fonts or scripts on our website, and run nothing that follows you from site to site or from one day to the next.** The cookies below are the complete list, and section 1 describes the two measurements we take without a cookie.

## 1. Our website (salexhub.com)

The marketing site sets no cookies at all. It stores one preference in your browser's local storage:

The site counts its own page views. Vercel Web Analytics, part of the hosting the site already runs on, records each page view with its time, the address and route of the page, the page that sent you here and the campaign tags in the link, your browser, device type and operating system, and your country, region and city. To count visitors rather than page views, it tells one visitor from another by a hash computed from the request, which is discarded after 24 hours, so a visit today cannot be joined to a visit tomorrow. It sets no cookie, stores nothing in your browser, and keeps no IP address. We see only the totals.

The site also measures how fast its own pages load. Vercel Speed Insights, part of the hosting the site already runs on, reads the performance timings the browser itself records (first paint, largest contentful paint, layout shift, interaction delay) and sends each one with the route and address of the page, the element the timing points at, your browser, device type and operating system, your connection speed, and your country. It sets no cookie, stores nothing in your browser, is not tied to your IP address, and keeps nothing that would join one page view to the next or to you. The scripts of both, and what they send, travel over our own address, not another company's.

Because nothing here identifies you or stores anything on your device, there is no consent banner to click through.

## 2. The application (app.salexhub.com)

The application uses strictly necessary cookies. Without them, sign-in and security do not work, so they are set on the basis of necessity rather than consent.

The application stores some interface preferences, such as appearance and layout choices, in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device.

## 3. The chat (chat.salexhub.com)

The chat sets nothing when you open it. Once you send your first message, it keeps two things in your browser, both only to provide the chat you asked for, so they are set on the basis of necessity rather than consent:

Signing up or signing in on chat.salexhub.com sets the sign-in cookies listed in section 2, for that address. What happens to the messages themselves is in section 13 of our [Privacy Policy](https://salexhub.com/privacy#chat).

## 4. Analytics and forms on our customers' websites

We provide customers with a first-party analytics snippet, forms and embeddable components for their own websites. **The snippet is cookieless and stores nothing on a visitor's device.**

- A visitor is recognised by a hash computed from a daily rotating salt, so the same person cannot be linked from one day to the next unless they identify themselves.
- No IP address is stored; approximate country is derived at the edge and kept instead.
- Paid-click identifiers in a URL are classified as search or social and then discarded.
- Nothing tracks a visitor across websites operated by different customers.

The customer running the snippet is the controller of that data and is responsible for their own notice and, where their law requires it, consent. ## 5. Controlling cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the application's cookies will prevent you from signing in. Clearing local storage will reset your appearance and language preferences. To delete the conversation the chat keeps, clear the site data for chat.salexhub.com.

Browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Because we run no tracking to disable, we take no action on it; we honour Global Privacy Control signals where the law requires it.
